Discovery<\/a> has acquired <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/a24-0\/\" id=\"auto-tag_a24-0_1\" data-tag=\"a24-0\">A24<\/a>\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/linda-cardellini-crystal-lake-peacock-1236171362\/\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/friday-13th\/\" id=\"auto-tag_friday-13th_1\" data-tag=\"friday-13th\">Friday the 13th<\/a> <\/em>prequel series <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/crystal-lake\/\" id=\"auto-tag_crystal-lake_1\" data-tag=\"crystal-lake\">Crystal Lake<\/a><\/em> <\/a>for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/hbo-max\/\" id=\"auto-tag_hbo-max_1\" data-tag=\"hbo-max\">HBO Max<\/a> across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, excluding the U.K. and Ireland.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe series is set to debut on HBO Max across the region later this year. Peacock has <em>Crystal Lake<\/em> for the U.S. and will be premiering the show stateside in October. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tPeacock\u00a0originally <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/friday-the-13th-prequel-tv-show-crystal-lake-peacock-1235252051\/\">ordered the series<\/a>\u00a0back 2022, with Bryan Fuller initially attached as writer and showrunner. The series picks up a year after Jason\u2019s drowning death in the town lake. But the arrival of two strangers investigating her past sets off a series of events that prompts the residents of Crystal Lake to question who Pam Voorhees really is.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tWilliam Catlett co-stars as local police chief Levon Brooks. Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins and Gwendolyn Sundstrom co-star.
