{"id":23218,"date":"2026-07-31T14:53:57","date_gmt":"2026-07-31T09:53:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usnews-14267fa.ingress-comporellon.ewp.live\/?p=23218"},"modified":"2026-07-31T14:53:57","modified_gmt":"2026-07-31T09:53:57","slug":"studios-bosses-confident-despite-america-revenue-dip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usnews-14267fa.ingress-comporellon.ewp.live\/?p=23218","title":{"rendered":"Studios Bosses Confident Despite America Revenue Dip"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script>\r\n  atOptions = {\r\n    'key' : '644b717812d811d6a1c1fc5b6ccd6fa6',\r\n    'format' : 'iframe',\r\n    'height' : 90,\r\n    'width' : 728,\r\n    'params' : {}\r\n  };\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script src=\"https:\/\/www.highperformanceformat.com\/644b717812d811d6a1c1fc5b6ccd6fa6\/invoke.js\"><\/script>\r\n<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/itv\/\" id=\"auto-tag_itv\" data-tag=\"itv\">ITV<\/a> Studios bosses are remaining bullish in the face of declining U.S. and international revenues as the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/love-island\/\" id=\"auto-tag_love-island\" data-tag=\"love-island\">Love Island<\/a> <\/em>maker prepares to be unleashed onto the market. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOf concern for <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/itv-studios\/\" id=\"auto-tag_itv-studios\" data-tag=\"itv-studios\">ITV Studios<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/07\/itv-first-set-results-sky-deal-share-buyback-1237014292\/\">this morning\u2019s ITV half-year results<\/a> showed a 17% revenue decline in the U.S. and a 24% slide internationally, reflecting a reversal of previous fortunes. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOn a results call with press, ITV Studios chief Julian Bellamy put this mainly down to a \u201csoftening of demand\u201d in the free-to-air space and said it \u201cunderlines the broader importance\u201d of the producer-distributor pushing further into making shows for streamers and developing its Zoo 55 digital arm. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cLet\u2019s not forget, we\u2019re on the up,\u201d Bellamy said bullishly, as he pointed out that overall ITV Studios revenues grew 2% during the first six months of this year to \u00a3912M ($1.2B). \u201cWe feel confident about the progress we are making.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tITV CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/carolyn-mccall\/\" id=\"auto-tag_carolyn-mccall\" data-tag=\"carolyn-mccall\">Carolyn McCall<\/a> added: \u201cWe need to clarify that we don\u2019t see a softening of the market, this was one small segment of the market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tITV Studios has made <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2021\/12\/itv-studios-unveils-five-year-masterplan-to-boost-turnover-by-5-per-year-and-supercharge-scripted-and-streamer-revenue-1234887662\/\">growth with the American streamers a cornerstone of its strategy <\/a>over the past few years and there will nevertheless be jitters about the decline in revenue across the pond. Helping allay those jitters are some big shows set to deliver during the latter half of 2026 including <em>The Gentlemen <\/em>Season 2 for Netflix and Apple TV\u2019s <em>Guilty Creatures, <\/em>both made by ITV Studios indies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tWhen the <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/sky\/\" id=\"auto-tag_sky\" data-tag=\"sky\">Sky<\/a>-ITV deal completes around this time next year, ITV Studios will be unleashed onto the market and will become a publicly listed company.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMcCall backed ITV Studios today as having \u201cterrific competitive advantages\u201d with \u201cextraordinary IP\u201d and <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/07\/itv-studios-future-after-sky-takeover-1236974580\/\">refused to budge on the question of whether ITV Studios<\/a> will look for a buyer once it becomes independent. This came a few days after the CEO of Banijay downplayed the idea of the French behemoth swooping for ITV Studios now that it is merging with All3Media. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cWe\u2019re confident about competing because we have scale,\u201d said McCall of ITV Studios. \u201cWe are a globally scaled diversifed business and feel we don\u2019t have any issue with our scale. And the other thing for our shareholders is that they are hugely supportive of having a listed pure play studios business. They support that strongly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<strong>\u201cA huge amount of speculation about virtually every company in America\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMcCall was quick to refuse comment on rumors further up the chain that ITV\u2019s new owner Sky will itself be sold <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/06\/comcast-to-separate-nbcuniversal-media-business-technology-1236969649\/\">now that it has been divested by Comcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cThere is a huge amount of speculation about virtually every company in America so I can\u2019t really comment,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tShe once again backed Sky\u2019s commitment to ITV News once the \u00a31.6B deal completes. She noted that the pay-TV giant has made it \u201cextremely clear\u201d there will be \u201ctwo distinct separate editorial voices for news\u201d along with \u201copportunities to supercharge and promote\u201d ITV\u2019s regional news coverage on Sky.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tITV delivered a set of solid if unspectacular results this morning, including strong profits for the soon-to-be-sold networks biz, mostly due to the World Cup.
