reportedly planning on filing for bankruptcy in the coming weeks in order to restructure contracts and the debt burden it has.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The news, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/flushingitgolf\/status\/2082917072753795284\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported by Flushing It Golf<\/a>, is another detail amid the clouded future of the rebel golf league, which <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/07\/29\/sports\/liv-golf-not-dead-yet-close-to-landing-at-least-250m-in-investments\/\">The Post\u2019s Mark Cannizzaro reported<\/a> Wednesday was on the verge of landing more than $250 million in investment.<\/p>\n<p>LIV Golf players who had outstanding contract payments \u2014 multi-year or rolling \u2014 have been approached with equity Sources indicate the total value of equity offered would potentially make the players the majority owners of LIV Golf 2.0 if funding is secured,\u201d\u00a0Flushing It Golf reported.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Indication of Interest documents have also been handed out to the league\u2019s players for them to sign, though reaction to them has been mixed with some ready to stick it out and others either not having signed or returned them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>One of the biggest factors will be Jon Rahm, according to the report, which indicated that he is still owed \u201c9 figures for his deal signed ahead of the 2024 season that still has multiple years left.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis would likely make Jon the biggest creditor should LIV Golf file for bankruptcy. Jon refused to guarantee he will play on LIV Golf in 2027 when asked directly in a press conference at LIV Golf UK and he has an enormous role in deciding the future of the league both on and off the course,\u201d Flushing It Golf wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There have been plenty of moving parts when it comes to LIV Golf and its future, but sources told The Post that LIV has gotten \u201cmultiple written commitments from blue-chip investment firms that would serve as anchor investors to support the league\u201d moving forward.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter
