Georgiou is ready to hit back, saying, \u201cI am not backing down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The legal battle between George Michael\u2019s legal team and Andros Georgiou intensifies. Michael\u2019s legal team has filed a claim against Georgiou alleging that he is charging his fans for unseen footage filmed in 1992 and 1993. The 90-minute behind-the-scenes footage of an unreleased studio album is the center of the lawsuit. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Andros Georgiou called the action disgusting, as per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/tvandshowbiz\/39909879\/george-michael-cousin-blasts-lawyers-film-row\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Sun<\/a>. He said, \u201cThis action is disgusting, and they are threatening to fight me with George\u2019s money, which is the thing that really hurts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Georgiou added, \u201cI shot the scenes. I was the only one with a camera and never signed a non-disclosure agreement. I know if George was alive, he would tell them to leave me alone. They are trying to bully me, thinking I will not fight because I don\u2019t have enough money, but trust me, I will fight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Georgiou shot the footage when the late singer was working on the Trojan Souls album. However, after his partner Anselmo Feleppa died in 1993, he left the album.\u00a0Legal firm Russells, which is acting for George Michael\u2019s estate, filed the case against Georgiou in London, citing that he is charging for the unseen footage involving George.<\/p>\n<p>According to The Sun, Andros Georgiou and George Michael were childhood friends. Their families moved to the U.K. together; they called each other cousins.\u00a0The Wham! star\u2019s lawyers took Georgiou to court, to which Georgiou responded that George would be \u201cturning in his grave\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The unseen footage features George Michael, Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson, Bryan Ferry, Elton John, Aretha Franklin, Seal, and Sade.
