To date, Aldean has notched 10 leaders on the list and 27 No. 1s on Country Airplay, through \u201cDon\u2019t Tell on Me\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/chart-beat\/jason-aldean-dont-tell-on-me-number-1-country-airplay-2-weeks-1236292984\/\">earlier in July<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAldean wasn\u2019t taking as big a chance as some critics might have believed. He saw fans singing every word of the song when Colt Ford performed it during a tour in 2009. Ford had included it on his debut album, 2008\u2019s <em>Ride Through the Country<\/em>, after writing \u201cDirt Road\u201d with Brantley Gilbert at Gilbert\u2019s Georgia home. He\u2019d explored centrist country in \u201cAmarillo Sky,\u201d used metal sonics in \u201cShe\u2019s Country\u201d and enlisted Kelly Clarkson on the pop-flavored ballad \u201cDon\u2019t You Wanna Stay,\u201d establishing an enviable flexibility for his sound.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAldean\u2019s version of \u201cDirt Road\u201d was certified quadruple-Platinum by the RIAA, while Ford\u2019s collaboration with Brantley went Gold. It has appeared on Ford\u2019s <em>Country<\/em>, Aldean\u2019s <em>My Kinda Party<\/em> and Gilbert\u2019s <em>Halfway to Heaven<\/em>.
