She is very anxious about getting very ill since she is 10 weeks pregnant. Tonight she had an anxiety reaction. I calmed her over the phone,\u201d Fauci wrote on May 9, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The doctor\u2019s now-infamous diaries reveal the pair often called Fauci during the pandemic, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/media\/tv\/fauci-was-all-over-the-place-fox-host-pushes-back-as-stephen-miller-claims-trump-alone-was-fighting-corrupt-healthcare-establishment\/\">when Stephen Miller<\/a> tested positive for Covid a few months later.<\/p>\n<p>Fauci wrote that he spoke with Katie Miller multiple times, including \u201cat Houston airport and after she landed,\u201d one Oct. 6, 2020 entry showed.<\/p>\n<p>By Dec. 31, 2020, Fauci wrote: \u201cAm on phone frequently with katie and Stephen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The diaries were published by Sen. <strong>Rand Paul\u2019s<\/strong> (R-KY) office <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/media\/news\/watch-dr-fauci-pleads-the-fifth-over-a-dozen-times-in-the-face-of-rand-pauls-questions\/\">ahead of his clash with Fauci<\/a> at the hearing, where the doctor accused the politician of having <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/politics\/dr-fauci-calls-out-rand-pauls-unhinged-obsession-with-him-in-fiery-opening-statement\/\">an \u201cunhinged obsession\u201d<\/a> with him.<\/p>\n<p>Katie Miller, who was a spokesperson for the White House Coronavirus Task Force when the pandemic began and served as Vice President <strong>Mike Pence\u2019s<\/strong> press secretary,\u00a0 told NOTUS the exchanges with Fauci were simply personal matters that came up during work calls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was not my doctor. He was not my friend.
