FIFA also unveiled several additional performers, including <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/artist\/burna-boy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Burna Boy<\/a>, acclaimed conductor Gustavo Dudamel, New York\u2019s PS22 Chorus, and <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/artist\/coldplay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coldplay<\/a>. The halftime show has been curated by Coldplay frontman <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/artist\/chris-martin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chris Martin<\/a> as part of his ongoing role with Global Citizen, helping assemble the inaugural lineup.<\/p>\n<p>The performance will air live during the tournament final and is expected to become one of the most-watched musical broadcasts ever. For comparison, the 2022 FIFA World Cup Final between Argentina and France reached an estimated 1.5 billion viewers worldwide, far outpacing the Super Bowl\u2019s typically US-centric audience. This year\u2019s Super Bowl drew 125.6 million average viewers in the US.<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it\u2019s already helping expand access to education for children around the world,\u201d Bieber said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The halftime show is designed to spotlight the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalcitizen.org\/en\/projects\/fifa-global-citizen-education-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund<\/a>, a joint initiative aiming to raise $100 million to expand access to education and football opportunities for children worldwide. According to the organizations, more than $50 million has already been raised, with $1 from every ticket sold to FIFA World Cup 2026 matches contributing to the campaign throughout the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Other newly announced performers include Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, New York\u2019s PS22 Chorus, and Coldplay, whose frontman Chris Martin curated the halftime production. The quarterfinals begin Thursday with France taking on Morocco, followed by Spain vs. Belgium on Friday and Norway vs. England and Argentina vs. Switzerland on Saturday.
