We liked each other.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Shortly after they started <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">dating,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> the 39-year-old booked a role in the 2009 film <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Dragonball: Evolution<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight:400\">, which was filming in Durango, Mexico<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">for six months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">\u201cI remember the day that I was going away to make the movie,\u201d Rossum recalled, \u201che said something to me like, \u2018I don\u2019t know if the relationship is gonna survive the distance. So maybe we should break up or get married.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">\u201cI literally had a flight that night to Durango, Mexico,\u201d she continued. \u201cAt that moment, I thought to myself, \u2018Well, I&#8217;m just coming off these two really rough heartbreaks.\u2019 Abandonment is my core wound. I don&#8217;t want that.
