That would be <em>The Boys<\/em>, one of the most popular series in the streamer&#8217;s history, which came to an end earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- No AdsNinja v10 Client! --><!-- No AdsNinja v10 Client! --><\/p>\n<p><em>Spider-Noir <\/em>is a different kind of superhero series. It is not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or any other shared universe, existing as a standalone series focused on the multiversal Marvel character. That said, Nicolas Cage once again gives life to Spider-Man Noir after having played the character in one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/spider-man-movies-ranked\/\" target=\"_blank\">best Spider-Man movies ever<\/a> \u2014 <em>Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Spider-Noir<\/em> is available in color and in black and white on Prime Video. The show did feature the usual superhero action sequences that one has come to expect from Spider-Man, but its focus was on a gritty detective story set in the 1930s New York City. The DC series will be returning with season 2 on Friday, July 31, when all 10 episodes of the show&#8217;s new season release on Prime Video. Despite coming from a different medium and superhero universe, the returning Batman series is easily the most similar to <em>Spider-Noir<\/em> in the streamer.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- No AdsNinja v10 Client! --><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"batman-caped-crusader-is-spider-noir-39-s-perfect-replacement\">\n                        Batman: Caped Crusader Is Spider-Noir&#8217;s Perfect Replacement<br \/>\n               <\/h2>\n<p> <em>Spider-Noir<\/em> is a very specific type of superhero series, which is why<em> Batman: Caped Crusader<\/em> comes at the perfect time. The DC show, like the Marvel series, is set in the past, focusing on another detective&#8217;s set of gritty stories. The returning show pulls a lot of inspiration from Batman&#8217;s early adventures in DC Comics, placing this Gotham City and its Dark Knight in the 1940s. Visually, it feels very similar in tone and focus to <em>Spider-Noir<\/em>. The main difference between the shows, besides the fact that one is live-action and the other animated, lies in their main characters.<\/p>\n<p>Cage&#8217;s Ben Reilly, aka The Spider, is a far more comedic\/sarcastic character than Hamish Linklater&#8217;s Batman. The latter is quite focused throughout the show, being incredibly serious and stoic, save for when he lets Bruce Wayne&#8217;s playboy persona emerge. As for the former, Cage just brings a manic energy to the character that contrasts with the tone of the project he is in. The reasons for that were simple. Season 2 has some pacing issues, as one-off episodes and characters sometimes work to slow down the narrative or halt it to a stop.
