LATIN MAFIA consists of brothers Emilio,\u00a0Milton\u00a0and Mike de la Rosa, while the British artist regularly makes music with his younger brother and is also managed by a sibling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re three brothers and I make music with my little brother as well, so it\u2019s just five brothers every time we get together,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0both managed by our siblings too! So\u00a0yeah, proper family affair.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fred explained that the music they had created together quickly began to feel like one cohesive project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was mad how quickly everything we made felt like it was naturally part of the same world,\u201d he said. \u201cSometimes I find I have to really work hard to make things feel like a contained universe, but in this case everything that came out just naturally felt like one thing to us all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo\u00a0we\u00a0wanna\u00a0put it all out as one project.\u00a0We\u2019ve\u00a0decided to get together in their home of Mexico City to finish it all.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DbTtlgUHNu9\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:658px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\">\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>LATIN MAFIA said Fred\u2019s \u201chonest and sensitive\u201d approach to music had long been an inspiration to them, adding that their creative relationship felt natural from the outset.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we met, it simply made sense because of the way we share so many things when creating,\u201d they said in a statement translated from Spanish.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has been a couple of years since we first got together to work on music, and every time we have been in the same space, it feels like we have been friends forever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They added: \u201cWe want to share with you what we have created together over this time. So we will get together in Mexico City to finish this project and broadcast the whole process non-stop until it is finished and out for you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The announcement follows the release of\u00a0<i>Under\u00a0The\u00a0Fabric (Mexico City, 11th December 2025)<\/i>, a new 35-minute film documenting an improvised session between the artists last December.<\/p>\n<p>The performance took place beneath an installation by Dutch visual artist Boris Acket before Fred\u2019s \u2018USB002\u2019 show in Mexico City, where LATIN MAFIA later joined him on stage.\u00a0The film was previewed for fans at Mexico City\u2019s Cine Tonal\u00e1 last week before being shared online on Sunday (July 26). The trio combine pop, R&amp;B, reggaeton, trap and electronic music, and have cited Fred as one of their major influences.<\/p>\n<p>Fred\u2019s Mexico City\u00a0show\u00a0formed part of the international \u2018USB002\u2019 run, which saw him work with artists including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/thomas-bangalter\">Thomas Bangalter<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/underworld\">Underworld<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/mike-skinner\">Mike Skinner<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/nia-archives\">Nia Archives<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/romy\">Romy<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/ezra-collective\">Ezra Collective<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/young-thug\">Young Thug<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/jamie-t\">Jamie T<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/reviews\/album\/fred-again-usb002-review-3918833\">four-star review<\/a>,\u00a0<i>NME\u00a0<\/i>described \u2018USB002\u2019 as \u201ca flow state of impulsive floor-fillers\u201d, adding: \u201cThe common thread of \u2018USB\u2019\u00a0seems to be\u00a0an eternal state of flux, where all limits and shackles are off.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Fred shared\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/fred-again-shares-epic-continuous-108-hour-mix-and-exclusive-creative-files-from-his-usb002-tour-3943357\">a continuous 108-hour mix documenting the \u2018USB002\u2019 tour<\/a>, as well as the creative files used throughout the project.<\/p>\n<p>He is next due to\u00a0embark\u00a0on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/fred-again-announces-debut-indian-tour-his-only-run-of-shows-this-year-buy-tickets-3952526\">his first tour of India<\/a>, playing Delhi,\u00a0Mumbai\u00a0and Bengaluru in December.
