The Vinyl Justice Squad! Stupid pranks! The Footie Song!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They added: \u201cAfflicted with nostalgia? The pair won the Best Newcomers prize at the Royal Television Society Awards in 1998.<\/p>\n<p>The duo later presented radio shows together on XFM and BBC Radio 6\u00a0Music, and\u00a0reunited in 2016 for a 20th anniversary event at the BFI Southbank. All four series of\u00a0<i>The Adam And Joe Show<\/i>\u00a0are currently available through Channel 4 and WOW Presents Plus.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Adam Buxton and Joe Cornish | Friends Like These\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/H5y6yY33LSo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/features\/tv-interviews\/friends-like-these-adam-buxton-and-joe-cornish-2819798\">Speaking to\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/features\/tv-interviews\/friends-like-these-adam-buxton-and-joe-cornish-2819798\"><i>NME<\/i><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/features\/tv-interviews\/friends-like-these-adam-buxton-and-joe-cornish-2819798\">\u00a0when the show arrived on streaming in 2020<\/a>, Buxton and Cornish joked that their toy film sketches had inspired the animated\u00a0comedy\u00a0<i>Robot Chicken<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<i>Robot Chicken<\/i>\u00a0definitely ripped us off though, come on,\u201d Buxton said.<\/p>\n<p>Cornish agreed: \u201cI think that\u2019s true. And to think that something\u2019s true these days is enough to make it true.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since the original series ended, Cornish has written and directed films including <i>Attack The Block<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>The Kid Who Would Be\u00a0King<\/i>, and\u00a0created the Netflix series\u00a0<i>Lockwood &amp;\u00a0Co.<\/i>.\u00a0He also worked on the screenplays for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/films\/ant-man\"><i>Ant-Man<\/i><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>The Adventures\u00a0Of\u00a0Tintin<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Buxton has continued working as a comedian,\u00a0writer\u00a0and host of\u00a0<i>The Adam Buxton Podcast<\/i>.
