Studiocanal will handle the release in Germany. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tBilled as a tale of \u201cburied wounds, impossible choices and the fragile hope of rebuilding the bonds that define us\u201d, <em>Milo<\/em> stars Cotillard as a woman called Alice who arrives in a quiet provincial town and takes a job at a local caf\u00e9, blending easily into a life that isn\u2019t hers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIt soon becomes apparent that her presence is no coincidence. She is there because of Milo (Pellerin), a young mechanic who works at a nearby garage. To him, Alice is a stranger. To her, he is someone tied to a past she has never truly left behind.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIt has been a high profile year on the festival circuit for <em>Vie en Rose <\/em>Oscar winner Cotillard who was at Cannes in May in Guillaume Canet\u2019s\u00a0Karma\u00a0and\u00a0Bertrand Mandico\u2019s\u00a0Roma Elastica, as she steps up the <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/05\/marion-cotillard-interview-cannes-karma-roma-elastica-1236879448\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/05\/marion-cotillard-interview-cannes-karma-roma-elastica-1236879448\/\">pace on her acting commitments.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tShe previously worked with Garcia on her penultimate film, the post-WW2 romantic drama \u00a0<em>From the Land of the Moon<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cThe new role is diametrically opposed to the role of\u00a0<em>From the Land of the Moon<\/em>.\u00a0 There was an emotional romanticism in that film, while here, on the contrary, it\u2019s a much quieter role, contained, and deeply felt,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/02\/nicole-garcia-marion-cotillard-milo-studiocanal-efm-1236724791\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1236724791\">Garcia told Deadline of Cotillard\u2019s role back in February<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a silence filled with emotions and confessions that are difficult to express. You can sense her character has grown accustomed to the silence but is also grappling with it.
