Again, these were acts calculated and planned to set up his defense within a very short timeline after the victim&#8217;s vicious murder.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">D4vd texted her <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">at 11:37 p.m., \u201cbro,\u201d then minutes later <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">said<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> he would call someone because \u201cur scaring me<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">,\u201d according to <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight:400\">People<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight:400\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> Finally around <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">midnight, he<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> texted, \u201cwhere are you please.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Using<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> cellular analysis of D4vd\u2019s phone and the modem inside his Tesla, prosecutors allege that he drove to Santa Barbara <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">on April<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">23<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">, before making another trip between May 8 and May 9 and one more on May 31<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">, according to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2026\/07\/24\/us\/d4vd-celeste-rivas-hernandez-hearing-los-angeles\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">CNN<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">The stretch of area is the same one on which Rivas Hernandez\u2019s discarded passport <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">was found <\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">by a state employee.
