He also says his love for her has never changed.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-eric-roberts-addressed-missing-his-daughter-emma-s-wedding\">Eric Roberts addressed missing his daughter Emma\u2019s wedding<\/h2>\n<p>In a statement to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/27\/celebrity-news\/eric-roberts-speaks-out-after-missing-estranged-daughter-emmas-idaho-wedding-to-cody-john\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Page Six,<\/a>\u00a0Eric responded to questions about why he missed the intimate ceremony in Sun Valley, Idaho.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love my daughter, always have, always will,\u201d the actor said. \u201cIt is perfectly wonderful for her to celebrate however she wants, with whomever she wants.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The wedding took place at John\u2019s family estate after the couple dated for four years. Emma exchanged vows during a 45-minute outdoor ceremony despite temperatures reaching 95 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/tag\/american-horror-story\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"49675\">American Horror Story<\/a> star wore a custom, vintage-inspired Monique Lhuillier gown. Her 5-year-old son, Rhodes, walked her down the aisle before she met John on a wooden platform.<\/p>\n<p>Several Hollywood stars attended the celebration. Ashley Benson, Brandon Davis, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/tag\/demi-moore\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"7581\">Demi Moore<\/a>, Kristen Stewart, Dylan Meyer, Sarah Paulson, Billie Lourd, and Emma\u2019s aunt, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/tag\/julia-roberts\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"5270\">Julia Roberts<\/a>, all watched the couple say \u201cI do.\u201d Julia sat in the second row beside her husband, Danny Moder.<\/p>\n<p>While guests gathered in Idaho, photographers spotted Eric leaving a Crunch Gym in Los Angeles the following day, according to the publication.<\/p>\n<p>The absence naturally reignited years of speculation about Eric and Emma\u2019s relationship. Earlier this year, however, the Oscar nominee rejected claims that they remain estranged.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the Really Famous With <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DWzSatjjuRT\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kara Mayer Robinson podcast<\/a> in April, Eric said their relationship is \u201conly complicated through outside eyes \u2026 because they don\u2019t get any of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also reflected honestly on Emma\u2019s childhood. Although he praised her success, he admitted he fell short as a parent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was a wash rag. I was not to be depended on emotionally whatsoever,\u201d Eric said. He added that he takes \u201cfull responsibility\u201d for that period of his life.<\/p>\n<p>Eric welcomed Emma with former partner Kelly Cunningham in 1991.
