The 26-year-old actor nabbed a nom in the best guest actor in a comedy category Wednesday morning for his <em>Saturday Night Live<\/em> hosting gig.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While <em>Heated Rivalry<\/em> was ineligible due to the fact it\u2019s an entirely Canadian financed production, Storrie was eligible through the long-running sketch comedy show, which he appeared on earlier this year. The actor <a data-id=\"1236518366\" data-type=\"post\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/connor-storrie-saturday-night-live-debut-hockey-olympics-1236518366\/\">hosted the Feb. 28 episode<\/a> of SNL, which featured Mumford &amp; Sons as the musical guest. He brought out his pal and onscreen<em> Heated Rivalry <\/em>beau <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/hudson-williams\/\" id=\"auto-tag_hudson-williams_1\" data-tag=\"hudson-williams\">Hudson Williams<\/a> for a sketch in the episode.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The guest actor in a comedy prize is typically given out at the Creative Arts Emmys, ahead of the televised main ceremony. The Creative Arts ceremony is currently slated to take place over two days, Sept. 5 and Sept. 6. The Emmys will take place the following weekend on Sept. 12.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a data-id=\"1236444072\" data-type=\"post\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-features\/connor-storrie-heated-rivalry-interview-1236444072\/\">Texas-born actor<\/a> found himself in a unique situation this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/awards\/\" id=\"auto-tag_awards_1\" data-tag=\"awards\">awards<\/a> season. <em>Heated Rivalry<\/em>, which hails from Canadian streamer Crave and airs on HBO Max in the U.S., was eligible for awards domestically, and it won plenty of them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Heated Rivalry<\/em> took home 16 awards at the 2026 Canadian Screen Awards, including best drama series, <a data-id=\"1236449733\" data-type=\"post\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-features\/heated-rivalry-hudson-williams-interview-1236449733\/\">best lead performer for<\/a> <a data-id=\"1236449733\" data-type=\"post\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-features\/heated-rivalry-hudson-williams-interview-1236449733\/\">Williams<\/a>, best direction and <a data-id=\"1236458914\" data-type=\"post\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-features\/heated-rivalry-jacob-tierney-finale-season-2-plans-1236458914\/\">writing for a drama series for Jacob Tierney<\/a>, <a data-id=\"1236495498\" data-type=\"post\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-features\/sophie-nelisse-heated-rivalry-yellowjackets-ending-interview-1236495498\/\">best supporting performer for Sophie N\u00e9lisse<\/a> and more. Storrie was not eligible for the Canadian Screen Awards, as he\u2019s American. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Storrie has been busy since <em>Heated Rivalry<\/em> finished airing late last year and already has a slew of projects he\u2019s worked on this year. He\u2019s expected to be seen next in the A24 comedy <em>Peaked<\/em>, from Molly Gordon and <em>SNL<\/em> writer Allie Levitan. He was most recently in a multi-episode arc on <em>Criminal Minds Evolution<\/em>, which was booked and shot before <em>Heated Rivalry<\/em> premiered.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The queer hockey drama has made certified stars out of both Storrie and Williams. The pair presented at the 2026 Golden Globes, served as torchbearers in the 2026 Olympic Torch Relay and made their MET Gala debut in the just over seven months since the show premiered. Since the show\u2019s premiere, Storrie has landed several coveted luxury brand ambassadorship gigs, including both Saint Laurent and Tiffany &amp; Co. The actor and Yardley graced the cover of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-id=\"1236556233\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/lifestyle\/style\/top-hollywood-stylists-2026-1236556233\/\"><em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>\u2019s Power Stylist issue<\/a> earlier this year for their work together.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Heated Rivalry<\/em>, which airs on HBO Max in the U.S., is based on the popular romance books by Reid. The show\u2019s first season is based on the second novel, <em>Heated Rivalry<\/em>. Tierney created, wrote and directed the series.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The series is set in a fictional professional hockey universe and\u00a0focuses on two rival professional players \u2014\u00a0Canada-born <a data-id=\"1236449733\" data-type=\"post\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-features\/heated-rivalry-hudson-williams-interview-1236449733\/\">Shane Hollander (Williams)<\/a>\u00a0of the fictitious Montreal Metros and\u00a0Russia-born Ilya Rozanov (Storrie)\u00a0of the fictitious Boston Raiders \u2014 as they navigate a\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/heated-rivalry-hudson-williams-connor-storrie-interview-1236448838\/\">near-decade-long situationship<\/a>-turned-relationship. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Crave\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/heated-rivalry-renewed-season-2-hbo-max-crave-1236449140\/\">renewed\u00a0<em>Heated Rivalry<\/em>\u00a0for a second season<\/a>\u00a0early into the show\u2019s first season run. HBO Max has confirmed it will continue to air the series. Storrie is slated to return to the show this summer to shoot the second season, which is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/heated-rivalry-season-2-release-date-filming-1236516091\/\">aiming for a spring 2027 release<\/a>.
