long ago, she admitted her family calls<a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2026\/06\/23\/katie-price-calls-gareth-gates-one-got-away-24-years-taking-virginity-28897116\/\"> the singer the \u2018one who got away<\/a>\u2019 and it seems the former glamour model might feel the same.<\/p>\n<p>While on Hits Radio\u2019s Breakfast Show today, Katie revealed the one thing that had surprised her in her documentary was Gareth\u2019s participation.<\/p>\n<p>In 2002, the then 24-year-old Katie was newly single and <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/03\/29\/katie-price-defends-taking-gareth-gates-virginity-pregnant-20554690\/\">took the Pop Idol singer\u2019s virginity while pregnant<\/a>\u00a0with her\u00a0<a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/03\/25\/katie-price-reveals-son-harvey-rushed-hospital-20524109\/\">first child, Harvey<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Gareth, then 17, denied the encounter and for several years believed Katie had sold the story for publicity.<\/p>\n<p>Despite avoiding the topic for years, the singer, who is now 41, agreed to be interviewed for Katie\u2019s new<a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2026\/07\/03\/katie-prices-new-documentary-finally-shows-true-colours-heartbreaking-28996535\/\"> Sky documentary, Nothing To href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/will-best\/\">Will Best<\/a> and James Barr that his appearance in the docuseries surprised her the most.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Imagine you was with someone 25 years ago and then suddenly they ghost you and you don\u2019t really know why,\u2019 she began. \u2018And now I know why.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Katie, 48, continued: \u2018People in his head and he thought I\u2019d set something up when I actually hadn\u2019t. Then 25 years later, he finds out it was nothing to do with me and you see his reaction.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Hinting the chemistry might still be there, she added: \u2018Put it this way, if I was his girlfriend, watching what he said, I wouldn\u2019t be happy. Am I right or wrong? And he still looks fit I must say\u2026\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Gareth\u2019s girlfriend is Allana Taylor, a <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/west-end\/\">West End<\/a> star, who he met while working together on a pantomime and began dating in 2023.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram\"\/>\n<p>The pair posted some loved-up snaps at Mighty Hoopla Festival a few weeks back, with Gareth wearing red trousers to match her cowboy boots and not much else.<\/p>\n<p>At the launch event for the series, the Mucky Mansion star shared: \u2018The shock on his face and the shock on mine. Everyone was like, \u201cYou and Gareth, that was the one that got away!\u201d\u2018<\/p>\n<p>Katie\u2019s current man is the mystery that is Lee Andrews, who was recently freed after a stint in a Dubai jail.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, the \u2018prison food\u2019 he ate during the few weeks inside is <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\"
