The arrangement is simple and predictable \u2014 I teach a lesson, get paid \u2014 but it is not scalable, at least not in its current form. The income stops when the lesson ends, and there are only so many hours I can teach in a week.<!-- HTML_TAG_END -->  <\/p>\n<p class=\"text text-block paragraph text-left neo-font-paragraph-xl-reg  yf-18d6y07\" style=\"text-decoration: none; font-style: normal; text-transform: none; text-align: inherit; font-variant-numeric: normal;\"><!-- HTML_TAG_START -->I&#8217;ve repeatedly stepped away from teaching (only to return to it) because the thing I ultimately want is more time \u2014 time to build something that could eventually earn money without requiring my presence every hour.<!-- HTML_TAG_END -->  <\/p>\n<p class=\"text text-block paragraph text-left neo-font-paragraph-xl-reg  yf-18d6y07\" style=\"text-decoration: none; font-style: normal; text-transform: none; text-align: inherit; font-variant-numeric: normal;\"><!-- HTML_TAG_START -->Berman calls that a &#8220;type two&#8221; side hustle: a scalable income stream that can continue generating revenue after much of the initial work is complete.<!-- HTML_TAG_END -->  <\/p>\n<p class=\"text text-block paragraph text-left neo-font-paragraph-xl-reg  yf-18d6y07\" style=\"text-decoration: none; font-style: normal; text-transform: none; text-align: inherit; font-variant-numeric: normal;\"><!-- HTML_TAG_START -->Examples include digital products, which generate the bulk of Berman&#8217;s income, as well as podcasts, YouTube channels, online courses, and other forms of content.
