And I expect it to continue. Amen, amen, amen.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x\"\/>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to PEOPLE, the \u201cLaundromat\u201d singer\u2019s specific form of the cancer is Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. It is a rare, non-hereditary type of the disease, but it still poses a threat to the body\u2019s bone marrow. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI was diagnosed with CML in early 2026,\u201d Nivea told the outlet. \u201cAs incredibly surprised as I was to have the diagnosis confirmed after [two] (because the [first] one wasn\u2019t successful), bone marrow biopsy procedures, I was profoundly thankful that it wasn\u2019t Blast [blastoma]. Which would have meant chemotherapy as part of the treatment.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram\"\/>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAlso learning CML isn\u2019t hereditary nor something \u2018I did\u2019 to cause it, was a relief yet still a bit puzzling.. Life for me has changed in various ways but treatment thus far is working. Taking it day by day with a positive mindset [and] a heart full of gratitude! I\u2019m blessed with the ability to still do what I love\u2014music, continue to mother my children, and learn new skills that fuel me! I am and have been very blessed in this life and won\u2019t ever take it for granted.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram\"\/>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nivea, who most recently took on opening act duties for the Millennium Tour, has been open about her life both in and outside of the spotlight in recent years. During a sit-down with Kandi Burruss in 2021, the \u201cDon\u2019t Mess With My Man\u201d singer revealed shocking truths about the reality few people knew she was living when she disappeared from the spotlight, including struggles with substance abuse and depression. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI got real, real, real, real, real low. I\u2019ll never get that low again, thank you Lord. I got so low because I was depleted. I had nothing for me,\u201d Nivea explained. \u201cI couldn\u2019t inspire. I couldn\u2019t be optimistic anymore, I couldn\u2019t pump myself back up. I had nothing left.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram\"\/>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through it all, Nivea remained optimistic that she would come out on the other side and her willingness to share how she climbed out of darkness was, in part, so that others knew it was possible for them too. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI feel like your testimony or your story\u2014I know it\u2019s clich\u00e9, but it really does help somebody else,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd I\u2019m a motherfucking survivor. Some people would have never survived some of the shit I did. I\u2019m so proud of myself.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Happy to see the ATL princess still thriving despite life\u2019s unexpected roadblocks.
