CREDIT: Epiphone<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>Epiphone\u00a0have\u00a0described the model as being built around the straightforward punk-rock formula of \u201cone pickup, two knobs, and absolutely no distractions\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The guitar is available worldwide through authorised Epiphone retailers, Gibson Garage locations in London and Nashville, and the Epiphone website. CREDIT: Marshall<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>Based on Marshall\u2019s handwired 1959HW platform, the new model includes a custom \u201cDookie Mod\u201d, inspired by the guitar tone Armstrong developed with producer Rob Cavallo during the making of Green Day\u2019s 1994 breakthrough album.<\/p>\n<p>The design is a tribute to his first guitar, \u201cBlue\u201d, with baby-blue covering, brass and silver panel details and Armstrong\u2019s signature appearing on both the front and rear panels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m so overjoyed to have my own signature Marshall amp,\u201d Armstrong said. \u201cThese amps have been a part of my musical life, from my heroes down to\u00a0little\u00a0old me. Turn it the fuck up!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Green Day on performing with Courtney Love and potential collaborations | BRITS 2024\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/24GqWOWgccM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/green-day-announce-massive-nimrods-soundtrack-with-fan-favourites-and-new-live-recordings-3955606\">Green Day\u00a0announced the soundtrack to their upcoming coming-of-age comedy Nimrods<\/a>, which will be released on July 31.<\/p>\n<p>The 22-track collection includes career-spanning\u00a0favourites, four previously unreleased live recordings from the Hollywood\u00a0Palladium\u00a0and the new song \u2018I\u2019m Never\u00a0Gonna\u00a0R.I.P.\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The film itself follows three friends who embark on a road trip after mistakenly believing that they have secured a support slot at a Green Day concert on New Year\u2019s Eve.
