The caption read, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/iran\/\">Iran<\/a> has been warned,\u201d alongside a fireworks emoji.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Perry, who has endorsed the Democratic presidential nominee in each of the last three elections, responded Saturday on X.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am deeply appalled and angry to see \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/firework\/\">Firework<\/a>\u2019 used on the @WhiteHouse TikTok account as a backing track for video footage of military strikes,\u201d Ms. Perry said. \u201cI did not approve this, I was not asked, and I absolutely do not condone it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wrote this song to be an anthem of hope, healing, and inner strength for people going through their darkest personal moments,\u201d Ms. Perry continued. \u201cTo see a message of self-worth and upliftment weaponized to soundtrack destruction and violence is a complete violation of everything my song stands for.
