It\u2019s out September 18th via Equal Vision Records, but you can hear new singles \u201cRing the Bell\u201d and \u201c00101001\u201d right now. Stream the tracks below.<\/p>\n<p><em>What They Grow in the Garden<\/em> was co-produced by Slothrust with Jordan Witzigreuter (The Ready Set). While recording the album, the LA-based alt-rock veterans aimed for harder-hitting riffs and catchier hooks while setting their sights on creating \u201cdystopian theatre rock.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vivid-seats.pxf.io\/c\/1882189\/952533\/12730?subId1=slothrust%2Anew-album-what-they-grow-in-the-garden-button&amp;subId2=&amp;subId3=&amp;sharedid=&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.vividseats.com%2Fslothrust-tickets%2Fperformer%2F48133\" class=\"button button-ticket\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Check Slothrust Ticket Prices<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The project\u2019s lyrics examine \u201cthe hive mind\u201d and explore \u201cwhat it means to be human and live in a system designed to exploit our perceived weaknesses by means of capitalism,\u201d according to a press release. <a href=\"https:\/\/slothrust.lnk.to\/WhatTheyGrowintheGarden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Pre-orders<\/a> are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe really want people to take away a message from this album of self-liberation amidst the flickers of seemingly inescapable dread,\u201d Slothrust members\u00a0Leah Wellbaum and Will Gorin explained in a statement. \u201cDespite the permeating blue light of the external world, it is still possible to find your freedom and identify your core truths if you go within.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The first singles, \u201cRing the Bell\u201d and \u201c00101001,\u201d encapsulate these themes. Both tracks feature soaring vocals from Wellbaum over bombastic guitar riffs and Gorin\u2019s pounding drums.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWake up and ring the bell\/ You\u2019re running out of air,\u201d she sings on the former track. \u201cInside your safety coffin\/ A victim of the spell\/ And if you stay asleep\/ Then you will be forgotten.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This fall, Slothrust will support <em>What They Grow in the Garden<\/em> with their previously announced \u201cThe Dystopian Theatre Tour\u201d across the United States. The Velveteers and Um, Jennifer? will serve as openers.
