Cast options expired at the end of last year, effectively closing the door on a second season.<\/p>\n<p>The cancellation follows Paramount\u2019s post Skydance programming shift. Cindy Holland, who oversees Paramount+, previously said multi camera comedies would not be a priority because CBS is \u201cfantastic\u201d in the genre and already makes its sitcoms available on the streamer the next day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCrutch\u201d was the platform\u2019s final original comedy, and Paramount+ has not announced any new comedy orders.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan had already moved forward with NBC\u2019s \u201cThe Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins,\u201d created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. By its May 2026 renewal, that series had Morgan in first position after his \u201cCrutch\u201d option expired.<\/p>\n<p>Created by Owen Smith and executive produced by Cedric the Entertainer and Eric C. Rhone, \u201cCrutch\u201d followed Harlem shop owner Francois \u201cFrank\u201d Crutchfield, known as \u201cCrutch,\u201d whose life changes when his children return home.
