The third season just ended its run last week. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe show was given a name change to The Vampire Lestat for season three to match the name of Anne Rice\u2019s popular novel that the season was based upon. Season four will follow that trend and has been dubbed <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/queen-of-the-damned\/\" id=\"auto-tag_queen-of-the-damned_1\" data-tag=\"queen-of-the-damned\">Queen of the Damned<\/a><\/em>, which will be adapted from Rice\u2019s beloved novel of the same name. <em>Queen of the Damned<\/em> follows <em>The Vampire Lestat<\/em> as the third novel in Rice\u2019s popular <em>Vampire Chronicle <\/em>series and is a continuation of the previous novel that focuses heavily on the original vampire Akasha, portrayed by Sheila Atim in <em>The Vampire Lestat<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<em>Queen of the Damned<\/em>, along with a new name, is also getting a new showrunner. Rolin Jones, who will serve as an executive producer on the new season, will not be showrunning season four, as he had been for season three. Moscovitch is set take on the showrunner title and executive produce alongside Johnson and Jones.
