The 41-year-old signed a two-year, $8 million deal to join the 76ers for what will be his 24th and 25th seasons in the NBA.<\/p>\n<p>Moments after the news broke, Portnoy posted a video on X\/Twitter to give his immediate reaction. Sitting in what appeared to be a private jet, the Barstool Sports founder explained that he was on his way to Saratoga but wanted to give his initial thoughts on the stunning move. A diehard Boston Celtics fan, Portnoy was elated that James chose Philadelphia and predicted that the team would not have much success.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI actually f*cking love it,\u201d Portnoy said. \u201cHe\u2019s trying to go do a super team. This team is not going to win! This team is not going to win! It\u2019s gonna be f*cking delicious! It\u2019s going to be delicious. You know that \u2014 what is that GIF of Cartman licking tears? When this team implodes, and there\u2019s only one basketball, and Embiid has one tendonitis left, and LeBron is huffing and puffing and reading books, and being passive-aggressive \u2014 he is going to get booed out of Philly. He is! This guy is going to get booed out of Philly. And Philly, you know you hate this guy. You get exactly what you deserve. Throughout his career, James has routinely run into the Celtics in the playoffs and has a sort of personal rivalry with the team. He now plays for the 76ers, another frequent opponent of the Celtics that actually eliminated them from the playoffs this past season.
