Users will have the option to opt out and return to the feed-first Facebook, with the classic feed remaining available as a tab in the app.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tStill, testing making Facebook a video-first app underscores the changing dynamics of digital media. Facebook parent company Mets says that Reels, its short-form video product across Facebook and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/instagram\/\" id=\"auto-tag_instagram_1\" data-tag=\"instagram\">Instagram<\/a>, is now a $50 billion run-rate business, with more ad revenue than YouTube.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tInstagram is also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/instagram-testing-longform-episodic-storytelling-tv-1236625661\/\">testing out episodic video in their new TV app<\/a>, another piece of how <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/meta\/\" id=\"auto-tag_meta_1\" data-tag=\"meta\">Meta<\/a> is seeking to steal more video ad dollars from traditional media companis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tFacebook also announced a number of other features, including a free Verified program that will let users verify their identity in exchange for a badge (particularly important for, say, Facebook Dating or Marketplace).
