Affleck, has died at 83.<\/p>\n<p>The actors\u2019 mother lost her battle with pancreatic cancer on June 2, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/chris-anne-affleck-dead-ben-affleck-casey-affleck-mother-1236655678\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">per the Hollywood Reporter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>She \u201cdied peacefully in her sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Ben Affleck and Casey class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The outlet noted that, according to the former teacher\u2019s obituary, she was diagnosed with the disease in December 2025.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, she was given six months to live.<\/p>\n<p>Reps for Ben and Casey did not immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s requests for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Chris, born Christopher Anne Boldt, was born in New York City in December 1942 and went on to graduate from Harvard University.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter welcomed Ben, now 53, and Casey, now 50, in 1972 and 1975, respectively, while married to then-husband Timothy Affleck.<\/p>\n<p>The pair divorced when Ben was a preteen.<\/p>\n<figure grandchildren. <\/p>\n<p>Ben <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/article\/jennifer-lopez-and-ben-afflecks-kids-meet-their-5-children\/\">is the father of<\/a> Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Sam, 12, while Casey has two adult children: Indiana, 22, and Atticus, 18.<\/p>\n<p>Chris\u2019 obituary noted that she wished, upon receiving her diagnosis, to watch Atticus <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/15\/celebrity-news\/celebrity-kids-who-graduated-in-2026-kate-hudson-reese-witherspoon-and-more\/#3\">graduate from high school<\/a> \u2014 and was, in fact, present for the May 31 ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChris was suitably proud of her descendants\u2019 achievements,\u201d the obituary read. \u201cBut she was delighted when they questioned, defied, or mother was really supportive,\u201d the latter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bostonmagazine.com\/2006\/05\/15\/the-other-affleck\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told Boston Magazine<\/a> in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>The following year, Ben credited his mom with getting into acting, <a href=\"https:\/\/parade.com\/50121\/parade\/interview-with-ben-affleck\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">explaining to Parade<\/a> that \u201ca friend of [hers] was a casting director\u201d so he \u201cgot into acting \u2026 as kind of a lark.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<script
