The Nazany family, like many civilians, is forced to flee, fearing retaliation. In this desperate and chaotic situation \u2013 shadowed by the looming threat of an attack by ISIS \u2013 French police officers, Italian diplomats, German military personnel, and American intelligence services must somehow coordinate to manage the influx of civilians.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tDane plays Martin. The supremely talented <em>Euphoria <\/em>and <em>Grey\u2019s Anatomy <\/em>star<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/02\/eric-dane-dies-53-1236730284\/\"> died earlier this year<\/a>. The international cast also includes Darina Al Joundi (<em>The New Look<\/em>), Shervin Alenabi (<em>Tehran<\/em>), Vassilis Koukalani (<em>Kandahar<\/em>), Hannah Abdoh, Jonathan Zacca\u00ef (<em>Le bureau des legends<\/em>), Gianmarco Saurino (<em>L\u2019estate piu Calda<\/em>) and Jeanne Goursaud (<em>Pax Massilia<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe show, which lands on the BBC next month, is produced by Mediawan and sold by Mediawan Rights is for the European Alliance of broadcasters which comprises ZDF, Rai and France\u00a0T\u00e9l\u00e9visions. The BBC isn\u2019t technically part of the Alliance but has previously been involved with shows like the adaptation of <em>Around the World in 80 Days.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tNick Lee, Head of BBC Programme Acquisition, said: \u201c<em>Kabul<\/em>\u00a0is a tragedy of the highest stakes. A warzone story which is propelled by the real ticking clock of the evacuation that was just five years ago this summer. Global politics remain complex, but Kabul dramatises the biggest view of history through the smallest window of a human family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<em>Kabul<\/em>\u00a0was directed by Kasia Adamik (<em>No Escape<\/em>) and Olga Chajdas (<em>Imago<\/em>) and written by Olivier Demangel (<em>Class Act<\/em>), Thomas Finkielkraut (<em>Baron Noir<\/em>) and Joey Lavy (<em>The Shift<\/em>). The series was produced by Fabienne Servan-Schreiber and Charlotte Ortiz at Cin\u00e9t\u00e9v\u00e9, Matthias Weber and Thibault Gast at 24 25 Films, and executive produced by Sandrine Paquot.
