Thursday <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/02\/01\/entertainment\/hollywood-a-lister-looks-unrecognizable-on-set-of-ebenezer-a-christmas-carol-in-london\/\">dressed as Ebenezer Scrooge<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cSleepy Hollow\u201d actor was pictured at the yearly extravaganza wearing a top hat and heavy overcoat while carrying a cane as he channeled the iconic miser from \u201cEbenezer: A Christmas Carol.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The nearly unrecognizable actor sported a bushy brow, patchy grey facial hair and lengthy sideburns for the surprise appearance.<\/p>\n<p>In one photo, he peered through a frost-covered windowpane, and in another, he emerged from what appeared to be a set re-creation of a snowy doorway. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image dressed as some of his most iconic characters from previous films \u2014 including Willy Wonka from 2005\u2019s \u201cCharlie and the Chocolate Factory\u201d, Edward Scissorhands from the titular 1990 classic and Captain Jack Sparrow from the \u201cPirates of the Caribbean\u201d franchise (2003-2017).<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere at the pop culture convention, he took the stage at the legendary Hall H as Ebenezer, carrying a candlestick burned down to a short stub.<\/p>\n<p>The trailer for the Ti West-directed film dropped Thursday online as well.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image equally as unrecognizable in costume as the Charles Dickens character.<\/p>\n<p>In the February photos, Depp wore a navy blue robe and a cap covering his ears, appearing alongside co-star Andrea Riseborough \u2014 clad in head-to-toe white \u2014 who plays the Ghost of Christmas Past.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEbenezer: A Christmas Carol\u201d also stars Ian McKellen, Daisy Ridley, Sam Claflin and Rupert Grint.<\/p>\n<p>The film is set for a Nov. 13 release.<\/p>\n<p>The role is Depp\u2019s comeback to mainstream Hollywood movies after\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/06\/01\/johnny-depp-wins-defamation-trial-against-amber-heard\/\">he won a defamation case<\/a>\u00a0against ex-wife Amber Heard in 2022.<\/p>\n<figure in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, the \u201cAquaman\u201d actress\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/06\/01\/johnny-depp-i-have-my-life-back-after-verdict-decided-in-amber-heard-case\/\">was ordered to pay Depp $15 million<\/a>\u00a0in \u2014 though she was also awarded $2 million for a counterclaim.<\/p>\n<p>They settled the case that year, with Heard <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/12\/19\/amber-heard-to-pay-johnny-depp-1m-in-settlement\/\">agreeing to pay her ex-husband $1 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Heard has since relocated to Spain, where she\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/22\/parents\/amber-heard-gives-rare-glimpse-of-5-year-old-daughter-oonagh-after-10k-race\/\">raising her children<\/a>: Oonagh Paige, 5, and twins Ocean and Agnes, 1.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to his legal showdown with Heard in the US, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2020\/11\/02\/johnny-depp-loses-london-libel-case-involving-ex-amber-heard\/\">he lost a
