During the episode, Tobin said that her surrogate, Katie, had gone to the hospital on Saturday night to induce labor, <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/becca-tobin-welcomes-second-baby-exclusive-12024793\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/people.com\/becca-tobin-welcomes-second-baby-exclusive-12024793\">People<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jyMHRV body-paragraph\">Katie was experiencing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/preeclampsia\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20355745\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/preeclampsia\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20355745\">preeclampsia<\/a>, which is a complication of pregnancy. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/preeclampsia\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20355745\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/preeclampsia\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20355745\">Mayo Clinic<\/a>, the condition usually begins after 20 weeks of pregnancy in women whose blood pressure had risen after previously being in the standard range.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jyMHRV body-paragraph\">The infant will spend between two to six weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit, but is doing \u201cgood,\u201d Tobin told <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/becca-tobin-welcomes-second-baby-exclusive-12024793\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/people.com\/becca-tobin-welcomes-second-baby-exclusive-12024793\">People<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jyMHRV body-paragraph\">Tobin and Martin have another child via surrogate, Rutherford Thomas Martin, who was born in February 2022, the magazine reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jyMHRV body-paragraph\">She has been open about her fertility issues, revealing in July 2020 that she had experienced two miscarriages before deciding to undergo in vitro fertilization.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jyMHRV body-paragraph\">Using a surrogate allowed Tobin to take part in her baby\u2019s delivery, <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/becca-tobin-welcomes-second-baby-exclusive-12024793\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/people.com\/becca-tobin-welcomes-second-baby-exclusive-12024793\">People<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jyMHRV body-paragraph\">\u201cThe doctor or midwife looks at me, and she goes, \u2018Do you want to deliver your baby?\u2019 And I was like, \u2018Um, yes,\u2019\u201d Tobin said. \u201cSo she then hands me her gloves. I put on her gloves. I stand at the bottom, and she\u2019s like, \u2018There\u2019s her head,\u2019 and I put my hand on the head; suddenly Katie does not even push. She just sort of like something happens. This baby comes sliding out, and me and the midwife are like holding the baby.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jyMHRV body-paragraph\">The baby arrived at 7:24 a.m. local time, and her umbilical cord had been wrapped around her twice, <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/becca-tobin-welcomes-second-baby-exclusive-12024793\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/people.com\/becca-tobin-welcomes-second-baby-exclusive-12024793\">People<\/a> reported.
