That\u2019s okay,\u201d she prefaced. \u201cBut I don\u2019t understand. Why go see the movie? If you don\u2019t want to see it, then don\u2019t go see it. Why do you care who\u2019s cast in it?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tGoldberg continued, \u201cI don\u2019t understand this idea that if we hate it, everybody must hate it because we hate it for this reason. You don\u2019t like Elliot Page? Don\u2019t go see the damn movie. Don\u2019t do it. We will be okay if you don\u2019t go see it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFellow panelist Alyssa Farrah Griffin called the movie \u201ca masterpiece,\u201d arguing that despite the \u201cwoke\u201d criticisms, the film has \u201ca real conservative message.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\">\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The View Full Broadcast - July 21, 2026\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3T02SGOxK-k?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s about devotion to family, it\u2019s about faith, it\u2019s about upholding institutions. It\u2019s about how war is dangerous and has repercussions for all of us,\u201d she explained. \u201cAnd the fact that conservatives can\u2019t take the win and just be like, \u2018oh no, this is a really excellent film with a good message for families,\u2019 I\u2019ll never understand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tJoy Behar quipped, \u201cbut they\u2019re stuck on \u2018woke,&#8217;\u201d to which Griffin noted, \u201cBut there\u2019s nothing woke in this film.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSarah Haines also chimed in on the discourse around <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/trans\/\" id=\"auto-tag_trans\" data-tag=\"trans\">trans<\/a> actor Page playing Greek soldier Sinon, following online outrage over speculation that he would star as Achilles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cThere\u2019s a unique ignorance to someone who comments on something they\u2019ve never seen,\u201d said Haines. \u201cYou\u2019re taught from a young age, do your research, learn, and then you can join the conversation. But it\u2019s like not voting and then complaining about what you get. You cannot not see the film and complain about how awful it is, when you haven\u2019t seen the film.
