Nothing. You\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0get wisdom. You forget everything. Forgot all my wisdom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI might have had a couple of pearls, but I\u2019ve forgotten what they are,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt\u2019s\u00a0not particularly pleasant and, of course, you\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0do things as quickly as you want to, and physically you\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0do things that you would like to do. You can still do them, but you\u00a0have to\u00a0be more careful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jagger also discussed how more than six decades of fame had affected his relationship with the outside world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously, it\u2019s not normal,\u201d he said. \u201cIt is not like most people\u2019s lives. It does affect you. You can become disassociated. From other people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mick Jagger Can\u2019t Name One Good Thing About Getting Older | The Interview\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vEb1boevBt4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Asked what he personally did to remain grounded, Jagger replied: \u201cYou go out and walk on the street on your own and do normal things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the interview, Jagger\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/mick-jagger-on-leaving-politics-out-of-gigs-your-job-is-to-make-them-go-more-apeshit-you-dont-want-to-lecture-them-3958133\">discussed the relationship between the Stones and their audiences<\/a>,\u00a0explaining\u00a0that he wanted their concerts to offer an escape from everyday worries rather\u00a0than become\u00a0political lectures.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe bottom line is that my job in the live music world is to [ensure] people that come have the best time they possibly can, and for two hours forget all their problems and the problems of the world,\u201d he said. \u201cTheir mortgages and whatever. Just so they can have the best time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYour job is to make them go more apeshit,\u201d he added. \u201cYou don\u2019t want to lecture them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The comments come after the Stones released their 25th studio album,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/reviews\/album\/the-rolling-stones-foreign-tongues-review-3955956\">\u2018Foreign Tongues\u2019<\/a>, on July 10.\u00a0It went on to become the band\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/the-rolling-stones-equal-the-beatles-with-15th-uk-number-one-album-3957712\">15th UK Number One album<\/a>, drawing them level with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/the-beatles\">The Beatles<\/a>\u00a0and placing both groups joint-second on the all-time list\u00a0behind\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/robbie-williams\">Robbie Williams<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mick Jagger on &amp;apos;Foreign Tongues&amp;apos;, live plans and his fave new bands\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_GNNbCOp8p0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Despite his thoughts on ageing,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/features\/music-interviews\/mick-jagger-rolling-stones-foreign-tongues-glastonbury-next-album-live-dates-3953989\">Jagger\u00a0recently\u00a0told\u00a0NME that he remained creatively active and had already started writing more material<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, it could be a trio [of records],\u201d he said when asked whether another album was planned. \u201cI\u2019ve\u00a0already started writing songs anyway.
