The U.S. military has launched a series of \u200cstrikes against Iran, U.S. Central Command \u200csaid Tuesday, adding that the strikes were in \u200bresponse to what it said were Iranian attacks on three commercial vessels that were transiting the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;U.S. Central \u200cCommand forces \u2060have begun launching a series of powerful strikes against Iran to \u2060impose heavy costs for targeting and attacking commercial shipping,&#8221; a U.S. military statement \u200bsaid.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Iran&#8217;s demonstrated \u200baggression was \u200bunwarranted, dangerous, and a \u200cclear violation of the ceasefire,&#8221;
