She gets a chance when she meets a lonely man and volunteer played by Melling, only to see their pact turn into an unexpected romance where love and death collide. The world premiere in Toronto for <em>Stuffed<\/em> marks the feature debut of writer-director Theo Rhys, who co-wrote the script with Joss Holden-Rea.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tOn Wednesday, Toronto also unveiled, as part of its 2026 Discovery program, world premieres for David Turpin\u2019s Irish feature <em>Ancestors<\/em>, starring Eanna Hardwicke and Rupert Everett; <em>Drifter,<\/em> the directorial debut of <em>Fast &amp; Furious <\/em>star Sung Kang rooted in the race car culture; \u00a0Ghasideh Golmakani\u2019s <em>Head to Head,<\/em> an absurd Iranian satire on state control; and writer-director Ulrike Tony Vahl\u2019s feature length debut, <em>Krux,<\/em> set in post-Second World War Germany.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThere\u2019s also Discovery sidebar first looks for Alexandra Pechman\u2019s <em>Magazine<\/em>, about a young intern, played by Lily McInerny, facing intoxicating power dynamics at a prestigious New York City literary magazine; and Tom Nicoll\u2019s <em>Salvation, <\/em>about the seductive promise of the online self-improvement culture.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAnd there\u2019s an international premiere for Stephanie Ahn\u2019s feature directorial debut <em>Bedford Park<\/em>, which bowed at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/sundance\/\" id=\"auto-tag_sundance_1\" data-tag=\"sundance\">Sundance<\/a>; and <em>Voices<\/em>, a Motown-infused 1960s period musical from debut filmmaker and former NFL player Deant\u00e8 Gray.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe 51st edition of the Toronto Film Festival will run Sept. 10 to 20, 2026.
