He would talk with Hezbollah that is the terrorist proxy of Iran!\u201d she began, highlighting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump<\/a> telling reporters he would speak with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/liveblog-july-21-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hezbollah<\/a> leadership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd he is tightening the noose around Iran right now. You start talking to those neighbors that don\u2019t normally have a lot of conversations, weren\u2019t part of the Abraham Accords, didn\u2019t want to do that, and now suddenly you bring one of them into the White House, the president of Lebanon,\u201d Faulkner continued, adding:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>And you start talking about, well, what will it take for us to help you deal with the military separate from your government operating on the southern border of Lebanon, northern border of Israel, and killing people in Israel? I mean, they\u2019re always fighting \u2014 Israel and Hezbollah. What does it take to get Lebanon\u2019s military and government leadership to be part of that? A lot of that conversation, and then it went broad and wide. A lot of good questions coming from the media today, and they needed to, because we need to go far and wide at this point.<\/p>\n<p>What is the appetite, I\u2019m wondering, on Capitol Hill to do what might be necessary? And that is full-scale war, to an extent where Iran capitulates again \u2014 thank you \u2014 if they\u2019ve even really done that. We don\u2019t really know who\u2019s running that country. Republican Congresswoman<strong> Kat Cammack<\/strong> of the great state of Florida, member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, so good to have you today. Energy is a huge part of this discussion, but let\u2019s talk about what it looks like on Capitol Hill for this president to do what may be necessary. What is the appetite for full-scale war on the Hill that you can see?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) replied, \u201cWell, good to see you, Harris, and always great to be with you. So, the first part of what you were commenting on \u2014 this is a pretty historic moment. This is two decades coming full circle, where we have the Lebanese president sitting down with the president of the United States, having an open dialogue. And I think people need to take a step back and really recognize the gravity of this moment.\u201d She added:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>People will say, \u201cWhat is going on here?\u201d Well, think about this: any time we have an opportunity to undermine a terrorist organization, we should take that opportunity. And that\u2019s exactly what\u2019s happening today, because, as we all know, a sovereign nation can\u2019t have two armies, it can\u2019t have two flags \u2014 and that is really what has plagued Lebanon for the last several decades. They have had tremendous struggles with Hezbollah, the Iranian proxy operating within their borders.<\/p>\n<p>And so, as we look to basically kneecap Iran and their terrorist networks, you have to address the proxies that are operating around the globe \u2014 Hamas and Hezbollah. So I think you\u2019re seeing a lot of really, really big excitement here on Capitol Hill about the idea that we are actually going to extend an olive branch and say, \u201cHey, let\u2019s stand with the legitimate government of Lebanon. Let\u2019s continue to undermine all operations of Hezbollah,\u201d which has been responsible for killing Americans \u2014 let us not forget that \u2014 and is one of the strongest elements that Iran has in their global terror network. So I think that this is a really important day, and people need to understand: this all ties back \u2014 all roads lead back to Tehran on this one. And people need to remember that, as it relates to Iran, they export terror like other countries export goods.
