However, he told the outlet that \u201cmidway through the first season,\u201d he was saying \u201cget me the fuck out of here.\u201d As for why, he explained that he \u201cdidn\u2019t feel like [he] was being used.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI felt a little bit misled,\u201d he shared. \u201cWell, prior to signing on for it, I was talked to quite a bit what the season was and what my character was going to do, and that I was one of the four main characters. I\u2019m talking to Kelly at the bar and Cole comes in and says, \u2018Ok Everett, come on, it\u2019s your turn.\u2019 I walk up to the mic, and they cut it. They cut it! They cut the song out. I\u2019m going, \u2018Fuck you people.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harris added that they cut the scene because \u201cit was too up for the dark ending of that episode.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo me, that was reason enough to say I\u2019m voiding my contract,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><em>Dutton Ranch<\/em> underwent a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/decider.com\/2026\/06\/30\/dutton-ranch-season-2-new-showrunner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">showrunner shakeup<\/a> following <a href=\"http:\/\/decider.com\/tag\/chad-feehan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chad Feehan<\/a>\u2018s exit.
