The court said all the claimants had failed to prove their claims.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe group alleged that as well as hacking their phones, journalists from the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday tapped landlines and bugged houses and cars. Publisher Associated Newspapers had strenuously denied the claims.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAn <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2026\/global\/news\/prince-harry-court-daily-mail-publisher-privacy-case-1236634563\/\">11-week trial took place<\/a> earlier this year, with costs estimated to be in the region of $40 million.<br \/>Coincidentally, Harry is in the U.K. this week for the one-year countdown to the next Invictus Games, the sports tournament he created for injured veterans, which is set to take place in Birmingham in July 2027.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe case is the latest in Harry\u2019s long-running crusade against the press. He previously <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2023\/politics\/global\/prince-harry-lawsuit-the-mirror-hacking-1235840736\/\">sued Mirror Group Newspapers for unlawful information gathering<\/a>, winning a partial victory before settling, and News Group Newspapers over the same issue, which <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/biz\/global\/prince-harry-settles-case-rupert-murdochs-tabloids-the-sun-1236281741\/\">settled out of court<\/a>. In 2022, Harry also sued Associated Newspapers for libel over an article concerning his lawsuit against the government. He eventually withdrew the libel claim against Associated and lost <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/global\/news\/prince-harry-appears-uk-court-security-case-appeal-1236362719\/\">the claim against the government<\/a>, which concerned his security arrangements.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tEven after today\u2019s judgment, Harry\u2019s legal woes are not quite done.
