The adjusted EBITDA came to $320.6 million, compared\u00a0to $189.2 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe second quarter results at AMC follow the exhibition industry seeing gains from steady supply of Hollywood tentpole releases like <em>Toy Story 5<\/em> and <em>The Super Mario Galaxy Movie<\/em>, and surprise horror pics like <em>Backrooms<\/em> and <em>Obsession<\/em>, to get film lovers back in the habit of going to the multiplex in pre-pandemic numbers.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-datawrapper wp-block-embed-datawrapper\">\n<p>\n<iframe title=\"AMC Theatres' Ticket Buyers\" aria-label=\"Area Chart\" id=\"datawrapper-chart-xbMsS\" src=\"https:\/\/datawrapper.dwcdn.net\/xbMsS\/5\/\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"width: 0; min-width: 100% !important; border: none;\" height=\"498\" data-external=\"1\"><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tJust this weekend, Christopher Nolan\u2019s epic drama <em>The Odyssey<\/em> revived the summer box office with this year\u2019s biggest live-action debut and the Oscar-winning filmmaker\u2019s highest-grossing global launch of $124 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThat\u2019s allowed exhibitors to look to full-year 2026 box office likely to exceed the comparable performance for last year, and possibly set a new annual record.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cBoth our U.S. and European businesses showed great progress in the second quarter.
