(Photographed above: Keough on \u201cWatch What Happens Live\u201d in 2015.) <span class=\"credit\">Bravo<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>When Kara asked Keough, 70, how long the sore had been on her tongue, the latter \u201cpaused, thought about it, and realized it had been nearly a year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA biopsy confirmed our worst fear: squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue,\u201d she wrote, explaining that the reality star has since undergone two surgeries, one to remove the cancer and another to \u201cremove lymph nodes.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>However, after the second surgery, doctors noticed that the cancer had spread.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">\u201cShe assumed a tooth had been rubbing against it and had even gone to the dentist multiple times to have the tooth filed down,\u201d Kara wrote. She is exhausted, struggling to stay awake, and becoming malnourished because the pain in her tongue and throat makes swallowing even the smallest bites or sips incredibly difficult. Every day is a battle just to get enough nutrition and hydration to continue treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kara explained the Bravo alum has been unable to work her commission-based job and has lost a young children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve often wished we could simply be there to help with the everyday things that become overwhelming during cancer treatment,\u201d she continued, sharing that she is currently visiting Keough in Orange County and is \u201cseeing firsthand what she\u2019s facing.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI realize even more how much support she needs\u2014not just while I\u2019m here, but after I return home,\u201d Kara wrote. \u201cMy brothers and I want to help make sure Mom feels cared for, loved, and supported throughout this fight.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure readers that the funds would go towards Keough\u2019s \u201cexpenses, everyday living costs, nutrition, and the additional support she needs while undergoing treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As of Sunday morning PST, $4,700 out of $22,000 had been raised.<\/p>\n<p>Keough was an original member of the \u201cRHOC\u201d cast, and stayed on the series for five seasons, spanning from 2006 to
