Sheridan, Berg and David Glasser of 101 Studios are also producing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tDuring its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/call-of-duty-movie-taylor-sheridan-lands-release-date-1236566569\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/call-of-duty-movie-taylor-sheridan-lands-release-date-1236566569\/\">CinemaCon presentation in April<\/a>, it was revealed that the planned theatrical release date was slated for June 30, 2028. The release will coincide with the 25th anniversary of the <em>Call of Duty<\/em> franchise, which debuted in 2003.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI told everyone we were only going to make a movie if it\u2019s right. In David Ellison, we found that partnership,\u201d Activision head Rob Kostich said at the time. \u201cWe want to make sure that the authenticity of it is captured on a human level so that it feels really real and infuse that with epic scope.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<em>Call of Duty<\/em> is one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time, with more than 500 million copies sold worldwide. Past installments of the franchise have spanned wars from World War II to Vietnam to the present and future.
