She has a mom and dad and a twin sister Mimmy who\u2019s also her best friend. She enjoys baking cookies and making new friends.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the news may have surprised some, Cook wasn\u2019t the first to share this insight. As a matter of fact, <strong>Christine R. Yano<\/strong>\u2014a professor of anthropology who penned the book <em>Pink Globalization: Hello Kitty&#8217;s Trek Across the Pacific<\/em>\u2014had also previously confirmed that Hello Kitty isn\u2019t a feline.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHello Kitty is not a cat,\u201d she told the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment\/arts\/miranda\/la-et-cam-hello-kitty-in-los-angeles-not-a-cat-20140826-column.html#page=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Los Angeles Times<\/em><\/a> in 2014. \u201cShe\u2019s a cartoon character. She is a little girl. She is a friend. But she is not a cat. She\u2019s never depicted on all fours. She walks and sits like a two-legged creature. She does have a pet cat of her own, however, and it\u2019s called Charmmy Kitty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other fun facts about Hello Kitty?
