{"id":1018,"date":"2026-07-06T20:24:20","date_gmt":"2026-07-06T15:24:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usnews-14267fa.ingress-comporellon.ewp.live\/?p=1018"},"modified":"2026-07-06T20:24:20","modified_gmt":"2026-07-06T15:24:20","slug":"details-of-california-plastic-surgeons-deadly-tummy-tuck-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usnews-14267fa.ingress-comporellon.ewp.live\/?p=1018","title":{"rendered":"Details of California plastic surgeon\u2019s deadly \u2018tummy tuck\u2019 revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script>\r\n  atOptions = {\r\n    'key' : '644b717812d811d6a1c1fc5b6ccd6fa6',\r\n    'format' : 'iframe',\r\n    'height' : 90,\r\n    'width' : 728,\r\n    'params' : {}\r\n  };\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script src=\"https:\/\/www.highperformanceformat.com\/644b717812d811d6a1c1fc5b6ccd6fa6\/invoke.js\"><\/script>\r\n<br \/>\n<br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F2%2F2026%2F07%2F133496157.jpg?quality%3D90%26strip%3Dall\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A California plastic surgeon who was <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/07\/05\/us-news\/california-plastic-surgeon-found-dead-in-backyard-pool\/\">found dead in a backyard swimming pool<\/a> last week lost her medical license after a botched tummy tuck left a patient dead \u2014 with newly surfaced records revealing the woman died just one day after her cosmetic procedure.<\/p>\n<p>Former surgeon Sarwa Aldoori, 71, was identified by the Kern County Coroner after her body was discovered Tuesday evening at a home in Bakersfield.<\/p>\n<p>Cops said the investigation remains active, with the cause, manner and circumstances surrounding her death still pending.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The body of former surgeon Sarwa Aldoori, 71, was discovered Tuesday evening at a home in Bakersfield. <span class=\"credit\">Tiktok\/@@sarwa.aldoori<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The discovery comes more than two years after California regulators permanently revoked her medical license after she refused to participate in a court-ordered probation program tied to the patient\u2019s death, according to California Medical Board documents.<\/p>\n<p>The records show Aldoori was charged with multiple violations, including gross negligence, performing surgery, and administering anesthesia in an unaccredited surgical center.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The disciplinary case centered on a 43-year-old woman who sought a consultation with Aldoori and her husband, Dr. Yakdan Alqaisi, on March 23, 2016, for a <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/07\/us-news\/tiktok-mom-of-three-dead-following-tummy-tuck-complications\/\">tummy tuck procedure<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Aldoori was one of two physicians at Bella Health and Beauty, a plastic surgery practice in northeast Bakersfield. <span class=\"credit\">Google Maps<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Aldoori performed the surgery on April 13, 2016, while Alqaisi served as the anesthesiologist, according to the records.<\/p>\n<p>The following day, the woman\u2019s family called 911 after finding her unconscious and without a pulse. She was taken to Mercy Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>The Kern County Coroner determined the woman died from a fat embolism caused by the surgery, with adult respiratory distress syndrome listed as a contributing factor.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>State regulators previously alleged Aldoori did not have sufficient training to perform the tummy tuck procedure.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Her disciplinary troubles began after accusations were filed in 2021 over the fatal surgery. <span class=\"credit\">Bella Health and Beauty<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>State regulators previously alleged Aldoori did not have sufficient training to perform the cosmetic procedure.<\/p>\n<p>Aldoori, who spent roughly 35 years practicing as an OB-GYN, was one of two physicians at Bella Health and Beauty, a <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/12\/health\/cosmetic-surgery-chains-under-fire-amid-disfiguring-injuries-deaths\/\">plastic surgery practice<\/a> in northeast Bakersfield specializing in women\u2019s health, wellness and cosmetic procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Her disciplinary troubles began after accusations were filed in 2021 over the fatal surgery.
